(Ask Rabbi Greene for the name of someone in our community who would benefit from this Mitzvah, or contact representatives of Chai at NSCI or Helping Hands of Chesed, two groups from the synagogue that help members in need). 7. Arrange a mini- bake sale.Make goodies and sell them before or after school on Sunday. Donate your proceeds to Feed the Homeless at NSCI, to the Ark, or to another organization that fights hunger. 8. Make Mishloach Manot(Plates of Purim goodies), sell them at the Purim Carnival and donate the proceeds to Feed the Homeless at NSCI, or to the Ark. Or to another organization that fights hunger. 9. Participate in the Maot Chitim project as a family.The project provides food to needy Jewish families on Rosh Hashanah and on Passover.Participation involves helping pack and transport boxes of food.
